CarProf supports Fonds Slachtofferhulp

CarProf, an auto repair shop franchise comprising more than 70 independent car companies throughout the Netherlands, has become a partner of Fonds Slachtofferhulp. Last week, a joint vehicle safety inspection campaign with the fund was announced at the CarProf annual event. Franchise Manager Harold van Gestel: CarProf is all about quality and professionalism. Every day, our mechanics do everything they can to make sure cars can take to the roads safely. However, we want to do more.” By supporting this fund, CarProf has committed itself over the coming three years to giving victims of traffic accidents practical, emotional, financial and legal assistance.

TrafVic-Kids

CarProf has decided to the support the fund’s TrafVic-Kids project. This new project offers specialist assistance to children who have suffered serious traffic accidents, including scientific research and creating online and offline forms of therapy for children struggling with psychological, social and behavioral issues. Van Gestel explains that with the vehicle safety inspection campaign, CarProf wants to emphasize the relationship between proper maintenance and safe driving. “A car tire with sufficient grip can make all the difference between a collision and a near miss in the event of an emergency stop. At CarProf, we do everything in our power to protect the safety of our customers and other road users; even if something inadvertently goes wrong on the road,” adds Retail Marketing Manager Ivar Camps.

€0.50 per vehicle safety inspection donated to Fonds Slachtofferhulp

For every vehicle safety inspection at any CarProf location in the Netherlands, €0.50 will be donated to Fonds Slachtofferhulp. The vehicle safety inspection campaign was well received last week, and is widely supported by the franchisee network. Every month, the amount collected to date will be posted on the CarProf website. As a kick-off for the partnership, a symbolic amount of €3,500 for the first 7,000 vehicle safety inspections this year was presented to the fund on January 23.

Fonds Slachtofferhulp

In the Netherlands, around 30,000 people end up in hospital and 600 die as a result of traffic accidents every year. Fond Slachtofferhulp’s Verkeersongevallen (traffic accidents) program is aimed at broadening and structurally improving the assistance given to victims of traffic accidents and their relatives. For example, the fund works on strengthening the legal position of victims and facilitates contact with fellow victims and emergency assistance. The fund was established in 1983 by honorary chairperson Prof. Pieter van Vollenhoven.

CarProf Annual Event

CarProf organizes a meeting for its members every year to present the annual plans for the franchise. This year, almost 150 visitors attended the event for information, inspiration and the chance to meet other members.
