The growth of electric vehicles requires additional knowledge, diagnostic capabilities and support in independent workshops. NexDrive, part of Alliance Automotive Group and a supplier of automotive parts and workshop solutions, is therefore introducing an EV platform for diagnostics, maintenance and repair. Through the technology and practical expertise of Norway’s EV HUB, affiliated workshops gain access to vehicle data, technical information, diagnostic and repair advice, training, parts and specialist support.
From inspection to repair
The EV HUB service platform includes diagnostic kits, training courses, a technical helpdesk and a growing range of remanufactured high-voltage parts. The combination of data, diagnostic support and technical expertise helps workshops carry out EV work more effectively.
“Electric driving is becoming an increasingly important part of day-to-day work in the independent workshop. With this platform, we provide affiliated NexDrive workshops with the knowledge, data and practical support to diagnose, maintain and repair EVs with confidence,” says Ivar Camps, Marketing Manager Garage Concepts Benelux.
The platform supports:
- EV drivers with maintenance, diagnostics and insight into the technical condition of their vehicle;
- workshops with knowledge, data, tools, parts, training and technical support;
- fleet managers and leasing companies through a network of EV-specialist workshops.
Practical experience and Health Check
The approach has been tested in a pilot programme with NexDrive participants.
Gert Dingerink of Autovakmeester Dingerink: “With complex diagnostics, you need to be able to act quickly. EV HUB provides practical information and support when it is needed. This allows us to work more efficiently and advise customers better.”
A key element is the NexDrive Health Check, featuring 130 inspection points, including the battery’s State of Health (SOH). The check provides a substantiated starting point for advice, maintenance and repairs. EV drivers gain insight into the technical condition of their vehicle, while workshops can provide targeted advice on maintenance and follow-up work. The check is currently available for Tesla, Volkswagen, Audi and Škoda. Other brands will follow.
Norwegian practical expertise
EV HUB originated in Norway. Founder Nassir Farooq, a garage owner himself, collected technical information, parts knowledge and practical solutions when EV numbers were growing rapidly and specialist support was limited.
“With EV HUB, we make practical knowledge about electric vehicles accessible to independent workshops, helping them to be better prepared for day-to-day practice,” says Farooq.
The platform and associated tools are exclusively available to affiliated NexDrive workshops.
