Working on all fronts

CSR issues are on everyone's plate, all along the chain. They are regular topics in public tenders and customers are also increasingly asking about AAGB's vision, think of:

Driving fewer routes

The number of deliveries per day at customer locations can be significantly reduced. By better planning workshop appointments, setting up a consignment stock and combining several deliveries on the day, we have been able to reduce the average number of deliveries per day by about 50%. The CO2 reduction and fuel savings by halving the number of 'stops' have proved substantial.

Separating packaging and waste

AAGB will no longer deliver 20-litre oil containers in plastic bottles, but in a bag-in box. This is a plastic inner sleeve with cardboard outer packaging that can be disposed of separately. Only 20ml of oil remains in the plastic inner sleeve, which is considerably less than in the existing plastic bottles. This reduces the carbon footprint by about 60%.

Ambition 2030

  • Make loans available to customers for solar panels
  • Obtain broad input / ideas from the entire chain: suppliers, colleagues, customers and end-users
  • Set up smart packaging and collections for more product lines
