CarProf launches anniversary edition of activity book featuring traffic sign campaign

News

The nationwide garage formula CarProf today, July 1, 2025, presents the anniversary edition of their kids’ activity book. This magazine is being published for the fifth time free of charge for entertainment and education. With approximately 20,000 copies distributed annually in the Netherlands, the activity book contributes to increasing traffic safety awareness among children aged four to ten. This special edition invites young children to design a traffic sign aimed at improving busy traffic situations around schools.

Design your own traffic sign

Many schools in the Netherlands experience heavy traffic in the mornings and afternoons. CarProf invites children to draw a traffic sign to make traffic around schools safer. The winner will be invited to bring three classmates to POL Heteren, the place where traffic signs are made. After a guided tour, the winning traffic sign will be installed at the schoolyard. Ardjan van der Blonk, director of POL Heteren, explains: “By collaborating with CarProf, POL can make a concrete contribution to the traffic safety of our youngest road users. Involving children in designing traffic signs is an original initiative that promotes awareness at the source.”

A fun and meaningful gift

Ivar Camps, Marketing Manager of CarProf, adds: “Over the years, the CarProf activity book has become a staple within our garage formula. Our autobody shops hand it out every summer at the counter, for example during a Summer Check. It’s a fun gift that also reinforces what we stand for: traffic safety. First and foremost, we focus on craftsmanship in the workshop to ensure cars safely hit the road. But also with initiatives like this activity book.”

Developed in cooperation with Veilig Verkeer Nederland (Traffic Safety Netherlands), the book introduces young readers to the theme of traffic safety through the colorful traffic pioneer and workshop chief Sjef. It contains coloring pages, puzzles, games, and fun facts.

“And while the little ones keep busy in the backseat with this, the driver stays more focused on the road.”
