Car companies affiliated with Alliance Automotive Group Benelux (AAG) can now benefit from a new collaboration between NexDrive and 50five for smart charging stations, installation, and charging cards. This applies not only to companies within NexDrive's EV service network but to all AAG-affiliated car companies within the Benelux region. Additionally, consumers who are customers at any of these independent companies across the Netherlands and Belgium can easily have a charging solution installed.
Comprehensive Offering
Thanks to this collaboration, independent car companies and their private customers gain access to a reliable and complete portfolio of charging infrastructure. The offerings include a wide range of charging stations, personalized advice, installation by a certified company, and a charging card for use throughout Europe. With this, AAG and 50five address the growing demand for charging facilities across the Benelux region.
Charging Solutions for Car Companies and Consumers
Ivar Camps, responsible for NexDrive operations in the Benelux, is pleased with this collaboration: "As NexDrive, we can respond to the need for charging infrastructure. The foundation of our partnership was working with a quality and reliable partner in the area of installation, 24/7 service, and offering a charging card with very high coverage across Europe. With 50five, we have a partner who understands us and meets this need well."
Egbert Hietberg, CEO of 50five, adds: "We not only provide custom solutions for car companies, but private individuals can also easily request a charging solution through this partnership. This makes electric driving even more appealing."
Electric Mobility Continues to Grow
The number of electric cars in the Netherlands is continuing to rise sharply. In 2024, 34.7% of newly registered cars were fully electric, accounting for 132,166 vehicles. Further growth is expected in 2025, driven by new models and incentive measures. As a result, the demand for charging stations is increasing. Despite a 30% increase in the number of charging points in 2024, further expansion remains necessary.
